Global Volunteers' hosts in Romania are three local institutions working to improve young Romanian's lives. Tutova Hospital in the village of Tutova (near Barlad) supports a "Failure to Thrive Ward" caring for underweight, disabled and abandoned babies.
We also work through Gheorghe Rosca Codreanu High School and Barlad Middle School, exemplary educational institutions whose staff are totally committed to not only providing a safe, bright and stimulating environment for students, but also are working to bring new learning techniques to the classroom.
