Ecuador Country Manager

Most Global Volunteers service programs are managed by on-site staff who live in our host communities. Maggie Bjorklund is our Country Manager in Ecuador. Our country managers are experienced in managing diverse groups of people, are formally evaluated by each volunteer team, and each year are required to complete our intensive two-week training seminars in Minnesota. Country managers must achieve an established level of performance in order to continue leading Global Volunteers teams.

A native of Minnesota, Maggie double-majored in Global Studies and Spanish at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. She studied grassroots development in Ecuador and after finishing school, worked as an English teacher and translator in Ecuador. You'll receive program and contact information from Maggie approximately four weeks before your service program begins.
