China Country Manager

team leaderWang Bao Li is Global Volunteers' China country manager. As with all on-site staff, Bao Li is experienced in volunteer management, and each year participates in our intensive two-week training seminars in Minnesota. With a degree in English, she served the Sino-American Society in Xi'an before joining Global Volunteers' staff in 2005. Bao Li has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership capabilities, as illustrated by her management of a volunteer's medical emergency: a team member wrote in recognition of Bao Li:

"Baoli acted with great compassion and worked efficiently and professionally to maintain communications between (the) family, Global Volunteers, the insurance company and the staff of the hospital. Baoli dealt with the local bureaucracy to make sure that all the necessary paperwork was in order... (and) I was able to observe Baoli in action. I am sure that Global Volunteers is aware of Baoli's dedication and her value to the organization and I want you to know that should I ever be in a (similar) situation, I would want Baoli by my bedside advocating for me and managing my care. Wang Baoli is a great role model for all of us." - Leon Ablon, Team 175

County Managers must achieve an established level of performance in order to continue leading Global Volunteers teams and is formally evaluated by each volunteer team. You'll receive program and contact information from Bao Li approximately four weeks before your service program begins.

She's energetic, enthusiastic, kind, gentle, supportive, friendly, helpful. You are in good hands with Wang Baoli!
